BSA Re-Structuring Coral Coast Homes?

Talk about Administration Re-structure, sounds like the BSA have given out there own set of Re-Structuring that Coral Coast Homes have to play too now, not sure if I can legally put it here, but if you go to the BSA site Here and type in Coral Coast Homes in the search box, you will see that they have had conditions put on there Building License, if you download the PDF of company details for it, you can read what those conditions are? Interesting?
Word on the street also…that there’s been a bit of home Re-Structuring going on for Big John too, having been kicked out? I almost feel sorry for the guy? With all this Re-Structuring going on? Where will it end?

BSA doing all it can do: Minister?

THE Minister for Public Works and Information and Communication Technology has hit back at claims that the Building Services Authority is a “toothless tiger”.

He said BSA's Homeowner Insurance Scheme is “the best in Australia”.

The NewsMail contacted Minister for Housing Robert Schwarten yesterday after receiving numerous telephone calls from homeowners and tradespeople expressing concern over the BSA.

“I am yet to see any evidence of what more the BSA can do to further help homeowners or sub-contractors any more than it has,” Mr Schwarten said.

“The BSA advises me they are doing all they can to assist.”

He said BSA advised him there were several complaints from sub-contractors in relation to Coral Coast Homes, and that there may be more.

Mr Schwarten urged tradespeople and homeowners facing difficulties with non-payment or defective work to contact his office.

BSA toothless Tiger for Tradies?

The BSA will look after me? well if your a typical Tradesman who pays his dues every year, you would logically think yes, I pay my fees to the BSA and they make sure the industry is Regulated, a fair system in place, keeping those bad guys out, and if I do have any trouble, I just go down to my local BSA office tell them about it, and every thing will be sorted out, because I did my job correctly and I follow the rules, and I contribute to all BSA requirements, because if I don’t I will be in trouble too..? Well as with a lot of things today you’re just dreaming! Wake up Jeff!, because in reality they will do nothing for you, if you have a dispute with a builder they will do nothing, if you have a complaint with anyone, they will do nothing!, if you have had the pleasure of being in this position, you will be told they only respond to builder customer complaints, and because you are not a customer as such only a Tradie, we can do nothing for you, so after picking yourself up off the floor, a lot of things will run through your head, such as why am I paying you guys money, if you don’t do anything for me, Reality Bites Hard.. The best advice you will get is, to go see your solicitor or get adjudication to get satisfaction... it’s a poor state of affairs when the so called regulating body, does nothing for you except take your money, this system does not work in the real world. the working tradesman are the best gauge of whether or not a Builder is on track and doing the right thing for everyone, if 10+ trades or more say they are not being paid, this should set alarm bells ringing in the BSA Headquarters, they should be then asking or demanding a financial status audit with the builder to minimize the impact on tradesman, suppliers and the general community, the way the system is now run by the time the BSA gets involved, its too late for tradesman or customers, the Builder is bankrupt. And nobody gets anything… Sorry to spoil your Dream world…
