Amazing stories

It’s such a shame to hear of all the trades who have been done wrong by Mr John Biles, and I can understand the frustration that he has caused all of you, I have been involved in this story since the very beginning. I feel for all the trades people and I consider the many thousands of dollars you have been ripped off, however as a homeowner and being on the front line of this case I hear countless allegations of the customer spending in access of $130.000 and still not having a fully liveable and or compliant home after years, where Coral Coast Homes has asked for payments up front despite the law saying otherwise.

In my discussions with the homeowners, John Biles has been labelled to the effect of words such as “a con man” another said “a thief” even “a criminal”, I only find it very unfortunate to see such a small amount of these customers willing to speak up due to fear. Fear that they may be ridiculed or even taken on charges, fear they will not get their house built if John is not there for them (even though they don’t have it built) I have spoken to people which have even had their garage door repossessed after they had paid an instalment only two days after receiving an invoice from the company and yet we read quotes from John in the newspaper that the clients a not forthcoming with their payments.

In my own experience John was told by his own engineers and the council to leave all the existing tree for the effluent disposal area, (written on the plans) but there are no longer any trees, he took an existing fence without permission, and told my solicitor that he had just done a site clean, when in fact the only thing he cleaned on the site was taking two and a half pallets of bricks which where left on site after the build, but when my solicitor asked him about them he said they where not ours they where his and we have no proof of them being a gift so he was within his rights to take what belongs to him even though we paid for them in our build. He damaged family heirlooms which where left on property for safe keeping, but when asked about them his response was “if they where important they would have moved them from a building site so I guess they didn’t care about them”.

Although the real truth is because Mr Biles didn’t pay the bill to the installers of the garage door those people where belittled and embarrassed enough to ring the Bundaberg police. So as much as I feel for the trades person, I have not heard of one trades person that is out of pocket to anywhere near the total of some of the customers, and I feel what CCH and other building companies have done to the homeowner is a criminal offence and should be punishable to the full extent of the law.

Some of John’s customers have become so sick from all the stress and tension when dealing with CCH that they have needed anti depression medication, while others have had a range of complications such as weight loss and hair falling out, one client told me the irritable bowel syndrome which is largely a stress related disorder, it was at it’s worse whenever John Biles was pressuring him. It appears John doesn’t seem to care even when a client has a terminal illness he continues to bully them into paying even though they are not receiving what they are paying for.

I even spoke with a couple that backed up what they had previously said with proof and yet Mr Biles allegedly presented documents to the NEWS that where supposedly signed by these people, and yet I whole heartedly believe these people and have seen no evidence from Mr Biles, If I was to see it I would seriously be considering whether he had fraudulently forged their signatures, as they assure me of not ever having signed such a document.

If the laws are not changed to help ALL the effected people involved in such a horrendous event we may see the law being taken into the hands of the public, which I’m sure is not the results we are looking for.

When I spoke with a couple of people that had the first hand knowledge of what was going on I was told by one person 1.100 complaints and rising, where lodged in regards and another said it was countless, if it is such a large volume of complaints whether from customers or trades folk it’s time to stand up and stop this from happening, no more people being taken for a ride!
When I was asked to back up my story with proof I did, if only we had such a fact for all involved we could do something to save the next lot of people in the line of fire. I urge all clients and tradies to write a signed statement in your own words of all the mistreated and ill happenings that you encountered while dealing with Mr Biles and staff, they should contain everything of how you where effected physically emotionally anything and everything, please keep them until I can find a way to collect them all for evidence.
